The winning company, Errcive, Inc., is developing a revolutionary, low-cost diesel exhaust mitigation system. Designed to enable compliance with increasingly strict emissions regulations, Errcive's technology will let equipment operators bring older machines into compliance with tight regulations at a manageable cost. Errcive's patent-pending technology combines advanced design, novel raw materials, and low-cost manufacturing. By locating in central Pennsylvania, Errcive will be able to combine low operating costs with access to world-class academic institutions and a talented workforce. Initial sales and marketing efforts will be directed toward California, leveraging California's impetus and incentives to mitigate exhaust pollution.

"We are pleased to announce that Errcive, Inc. is the winner of the $25,000 business plan competition. Errcive's new technology for mitigating diesel exhaust with a low-cost system will result in a win-win for equipment owners as well as the environment," says Donna Holmes, director of the Penn State SBDC.
