The First Step of Starting a Business
Learn from business counselors about:

- the steps you need to take to get started
- how to find out what regulations/licensing would apply to your business
- where to find other resources that you can use to help you succeed
The First Step of Starting a Business is offered by the Penn State Small Business Development Center. The session is free but preregistration is required; call 814-863-4293 or 717-247-1280, or use our online registration form.
The First Step workshop is held at The 329 Building, located in Penn State's Innovation Park. The 329 Building is two buildings from The Penn Stater, to the left as you are facing the front door of the hotel. PLEASE NOTE that parking passes are required and will be available the day of the workshop. Please arrive fifteen minutes early for the workshop to allow adequate time to obtain a parking pass and return to your vehicle to display it.
